Earth Day Events

Red Lodge will be going strong on this day with parks and trails clean up, maybe even some trail building, and a block party between the Library and the Arts Guild with kids activities and free food and drink  at 11:00! BRTA will have some of our free bikes at the party. Free screening of "Before The Flood" at the Roman, 7:15 Thursday, April 20.

Knowing The Land, BFCF public lands forum

Public Lands, Outdoor Recreation, Stewardship, and Gateway Communities. Those topics and a host of quality, knowledgeable speakers and panelists will help us understand more about public lands and the important issues being faced nowadays. The Beartooth Front Community Forum of Red Lodge is making this happen. Saturday morning and early afternoon at the Senior Center. Don't miss headline speaker and internationally acclaimed author David Quammen from Bozeman.  Friday night at the Roman.

American Volkssport Association in Red Lodge

Over 300 walkers will be in town this Saturday morning as part of their annual National Convention in Billings. They like our town and will be walking our trails (and visiting our shops and restaurants). Give them a friendly greeting and welcome. Community Trails Day on Nichols Creek

Join the A-B Wilderness Foundation for their annual day of volunteer work on a trail near you; in this case, we keep at the new Nichols Creek Trail as it continues from Red Lodge Mountain Ski Area to West Fork Road. Eventually we will have four miles of great trail through lodge pole pine forest, crossing a few creeks and staying level for a couple of miles on the upper end, then descending on bike-friendly switchbacks down to Nichols Creek…
